  Owner/Director - Carlene Nazarian
Carlene has received numerous awards for her dancing and outstanding choreography throughout the Northeast. A 1978 recipient of the Elsa-Kemp award, she was honored by the Dance Teachers Club of Boston for her talent as a teacher, and is now a member of the Dance Teachers Club of Boston with the American Society. With the "Sherry Gold Dancers" of Boston, and as dance captain of the "Jazz Connection," Carlene has performed professionally throughout New England. In 1984 she founded her own school, "the Dance Center of New England," and her students have received top honors regionally and nationally. She has experience as a judge in both modeling and dance competitions. Her Students have performed at Walt Disney World, Florida, and were the 1998 national champions at American Dance Awards, Arlington, VA. Her students continue to excel in all the competitions they perform in.

Debbie Beal -  ( Tap, Ballet, Jazz )
Debbie has been teaching dance to students of all ages and levels for over 20 years.  She is a member of The Dance Teacher's Club of Boston, and a 1985 graduate from the DTCB Teacher's Training Course.  As a dancer, Debbie has performed professionally with the "Jazz Connection", and has won many gold medals and special awards such as "Most Potential", "Most Enthusiastic" and "Best Smile".  She has led her own students to win many gold medals, high score awards, and various special awards at competitions.  She has trained and continues to train in Boston and New York.  A graduate from Northeastern University, Debbie is certified as a personal trainer, a group fitness instructor, and in CPR.  She also works part-time as a Physical Education Instructor at Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill.  Debbie's love and vitality for dance is evident in her work.

Mary Doherty  -  (Tap, Jazz, Ballet)
Mary has been teaching dance for 25 years, and is a long standing member of the Dance Teachers Club of Boston.  Mary has studied with some of the most renowned teachers in New England and New York.  She trained and performed with the Boston based Copley Square Ballet, the Jeannette Neil Jazz Studio, Leon Collin’s Tap Ensemble, and Luigi Style Jazz based in New York City.  Mary’s students and choreography have received numerous Gold Medals, High Score and Special Awards.  She is committed to instilling a love of dance and building self-esteem in all her students.  She has delighted in seeing many of her students continue on performing, teaching and celebrating the art of dance.
 
Ashley Woitkun
Ashley has been dancing since age 3. She has studied tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, pointe and hip hop. She started competing regionally at age 7 and continued to compete throughout her time at Carlene Nazarian Dance Center with her team, and once as a soloist. At age 10 she performed at Epcot Center in Walt Disney World, Florida along with her dance team. In 1998 Ashley was part of the dance "Chicago" which won the National Championship title at the American Dance Awards in Arlington, VA. She has also performed around the area, and was part of the Halloween themed dance group "The Crypt Kicker 5" at Victorian Park in Salem, NH. Ashley started teaching Hip Hop at Carlene Nazarian Dance Center in 2002, and has done choreography work for Timberlane High School's cheerleading team and Central Catholic High School's dance team. She has also done cardio dance classes at Hampstead Health & Fitness. She recently performed in up and coming artist, D.One's music video this past summer. She has taken technique and master classes in the area, as well as Boston and New York and continues to do so. Ashley works part time as a hairstylist in Hampstead as well as teaching. She keeps working to teach her students to express themselves through hip hop, while having a lot of fun.
