Our Alumni ~ Where are they Now?
After graduating, many of “The Carlene Nazarian Dance Center” alumni have gone on to study dance and to pursue various careers in the arts.  CNDC alumni can be seen performing in productions around the country, dancing on cruise ships and in commercial/ promotion events, obtaining degrees in the arts, winning choreography awards, working as instructors and opening their own dance studios!

4 Students successfully complete Level 1 DETC Dance Teacher Training
Michaela Cullum-Doyle was awarded the "Margaret Rogers Tap Scholarship" on August 7, 2011 at the 69th annual Dance Education Training Award Ceremony. This was awarded to the level 1 student who displayed excellence in Tap performance based on performance grade for the training. She was one of only 6 students who received scholarships out of a class of 85 students who attended this week-long program. Congratulations on this achievement.
Congratulations to Michaela Cullum-Doyle, Lindsay Miller, Maddy Wallace, and Shelby Walsh who successfully completed the Level I requirements of the Dance Teachers’ Club of Boston, Inc. & the American Society Member of National Dance Council of America 69th Annual Dance Education Training Course that was held August 1-5, 2011 in Randolph, Massachusetts. This 5 day program included intensive training in the instruction of Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Modern with special classes in Children‟s, Ballroom, Musical Theater, Improv, Music, Contemporary, Injury Prevention and Teaching Principals. Students needed to pass both written examinations and performance evaluations in all areas of study.

Special thanks to Carlene and Nikki for recommending and supporting our 4 young women who worked hard to complete this these intense week-long program. Their training will continue for the next two years to successfully complete the DETC education program.
